EdgeCore is seeking to hire a Cybersecurity Analyst to join our Compliance Team and drive critical security and risk management initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Information Security, this role is at the forefront of protecting our infrastructure, leading the daily monitoring and optimization of our vulnerability management tools. - Manage and optimize vulnerability management tools like Armis and Tenable to proactively identify and remediate security risks.
- Enhance threat detection and response by working with vendors to refine SIEM solutions such as Arctic Wolf and Splunk.
- Streamline security operations by automating vulnerability management processes, reducing manual workloads, and improving efficiency.
- Collaborate with IT and OT teams to develop and implement remediation plans, ensuring timely patching and risk mitigation.
- Evaluate security risks associated with critical third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with EdgeCore’s security standards.
- Lead quarterly user access reviews, conducted manually or through tools like ConductorOne to maintain strong access controls.
- Strengthen system security by partnering with IT and OT teams to enforce secure configurations and effective patch management.
- Deliver insightful reports on vulnerability trends, risk assessments, and resolution metrics to inform leadership and compliance efforts.
- Stay ahead of evolving cybersecurity threats and industry trends to assess potential risks and enhance security strategies.
- Support a strong security culture by leading formal security awareness training and engaging stakeholders in key information security initiatives.
- Take on additional security-related responsibilities as needed.
Your Experience and Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in vulnerability management and security operations, with a strong track record of identifying and mitigating risks.
- Hands-on expertise in configuring and managing vulnerability scanners such as Armis, Tenable, Qualys, or Rapid7.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, with relevant industry experience considered.
- Industry certifications like Security+, CISA, CEH, CISM, or CISSP are a plus, demonstrating a commitment to security excellence.
- Deep understanding of security frameworks, including NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls, to align security programs with best practices.
- Experience with Operational Technology (OT) networks and vulnerability management is highly desirable, offering an edge in securing complex environments.
- Ability to assess and prioritize security risks, ensuring remediation efforts align with business goals and operational requirements.
- Strong technical expertise with security tools, coupled with the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating emerging threats.
What We Offer
- This is a full-time salaried position, including equity compensation and a performance-based annual bonus
- This role requires in-office presence four days per week
- This role is based in downtown Denver, with parking for the successful candidate paid by EdgeCore
- Base salary range is $90,000-110,000, depending on experience
