Job Description

As a Remittance Specialist, you will support the product manager to ensure customers receive a fantastic experience over remittance channels. You will have P&L responsibility for the Remittance revenue line and are expected to maximize the margin from remittance transactions.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pricing Strategy: Determine the pricing and markup for remittance transactions, balancing competitiveness and revenue ambitions.
  • Forecasting: Provide projections for expected value of transactions to ensure accurate funding of accounts and Forex procurement.
  • Float Management: Issue instructions to treasury to ensure accounts are adequately funded to perform remittance and other transactions.
  • Commercial Agreements: Work closely with Business Development and Product teams to tie-up commercial agreements with various exchange houses and remittance partners.
  • Transaction Execution: Collaborate with Finance and Treasury operations to ensure transactions are executed on time and ensure smooth working with remittance partners.
  • Customer Issue Management: Handle and resolve customer issues related to remittance transactions.
  • Onboarding New Partners: Facilitate the onboarding process for new remittance partners.
  • Campaign Configuration: Configure and manage campaigns related to remittance services.
  • Corridor Management: Manage remittance corridors to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Success Rate Responsibility: Ensure a high success rate for remittance transactions.
  • SLA Compliance: Ensure that all transactions are completed within the agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA).

Key Accountabilities and Decision Ownership:

  • Ensure remittance accounts are funded and float maintained.
  • Forecast expected transaction volume to different destinations.
  • Maximize the margin from remittance transactions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with remittance partners.
  • Manage customer issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Onboard new partners and configure campaigns.
  • Manage remittance corridors and ensure high success rates.
  • Ensure transactions are completed within SLA.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in remittance or financial services industry
  • Strong analytical and forecasting skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with mobile financial services.
  • Knowledge of Forex and treasury operations.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
