Senior Software Engineer, Android, Mobile

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in software development using Java or Kotlin.
• 2 years of experience in leading teams.
• Experience in working with Android Operating Systems (OS) internals, Applications, Telephony Stack or Mobile wireless technologies.
• Experience in quality improvements with test coverage and code refactoring.
• Experience in building and scaling mobile applications.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in cellular connectivity - Data, Telecom, eSIM or Satellite.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop new features across the Telephony software stack including Android framework, applications and Google back end servers.
• Collaborate with other Software Engineers (SWEs), Product Manager (PMs), UX designers, cross functional teams and external partners.
• Debug and fix bugs reported during field testing and user feedback.
• Design, implement metrics to monitor production quality and impact.
• Identify and implement performance optimizations.
