The Role

Nuage has partnered with a cutting-edge AI company to recruit a Machine Learning Engineer specializing in OCR and Computer Vision. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in developing and optimizing state-of-the-art models that extract and interpret text from images and documents. Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize OCR and computer vision models for real-world applications.
• Train and fine-tune deep learning models for text extraction and image analysis.
• Collaborate with data engineers and software developers to integrate ML models into production systems.
• Implement and maintain scalable pipelines for data preprocessing and model training.
• Evaluate and improve model accuracy, robustness, and performance.
• Conduct research on state-of-the-art OCR and vision-based AI technologies.
• Ensure the efficient deployment of models using cloud-based and edge computing solutions.
• Monitor model performance and develop strategies for continual improvement.
• Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of models and workflows.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in OCR, computer vision, and deep learning.

Your Background

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• 4-5 years of experience in machine learning, with a strong focus on OCR and computer vision.
• Proficiency in deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Experience with OCR-specific libraries and tools (e.g., Tesseract, EasyOCR, OpenCV).
• Strong knowledge of image processing techniques and feature extraction methods.
• Hands-on experience deploying ML models in production environments.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with relevant ML libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, OpenCV).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with NLP techniques for text post-processing.
• Familiarity with edge AI and deploying vision models on embedded devices.
• Understanding of MLOps best practices, including CI/CD for ML models.
• Strong software engineering skills, including version control (Git) and agile workflows.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
