Location: Vienna, Austria

Contract Type: Designated Full-Time Employee (FTE) with Backfills

Duration: 1 Year

Schedule: 4 Days per week (Monday โ€“ Thursday)

Start Date: March (Tentative)

Backfills: 3 Positions Available

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced L1 Onsite Support Engineer for a long-term opportunity in Austria. This role requires a skilled professional to provide onsite and desk-side support to end users while ensuring smooth IT operations in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide onsite & desk-side IT support to end users.
  • Troubleshoot PC-related issues under CLIENT Level 2 or SPOC guidance.
  • Ensure incidents and requests are completed within SLA.
  • Build, configure, and troubleshoot Windows-based PC and laptop applications.
  • Support meeting rooms, video conferencing, printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
  • Assist with mobile device support (iPads, iPhones, Android devices).
  • Perform end-user data backup and restoration when required.
  • Provide smart hands support for data center equipment as per SLA.
  • Assist with hardware replacements and troubleshooting in data centers.
  • Manage daily tape changes and import/export tapes to the tape library as needed.

Technical Skills & Experience Required:
  • Experience using a Call Logging system.
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows 7/10 and Microsoft Office applications.
  • MAC support experience (preferred).
  • Knowledge of Android & iOS mobile devices.
  • Hands-on experience in PC/laptop hardware troubleshooting and replacement.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SCCM.
  • Ability to replace defective hardware components as directed.
  • Hands-on experience with data center equipment installation, troubleshooting, rack & stack.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and German (C1 level mandatory).
Educational & Certification Requirements (Preferred):
  • CompTIA Certifications (A+, Network+ preferred).
  • Microsoft Certifications (MCP, MCITP, MCSE preferred).
