Back End Developer

🚀 Backend Developer – Contractor (Insurance Sector)

📍 Location: Hybrid – Minimum 2 days/week onsite in Antwerp

🔧 About the Role:

We are looking for a Backend Developer experienced in .NET and Azure Function development to join a high-performing team working on broker-facing applications within the insurance sector. This is a hands-on role requiring deep expertise in modern cloud-based backend technologies and best practices for CI/CD and integration.

🛠 Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain serverless applications using Azure Functions
• Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments
• Work with Azure Key Vault, Redis Cache, and Cosmos DB
• Integrate with external systems using SOAP and manage authentication via OAuth
• Apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) and mocking frameworks
• Collaborate in an Agile team and contribute to technical architecture
• Provide 3rd line support and document developed solutions
• Contribute to reusable technical components and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform is a plus)

👤 Your Profile:

• 5–7 years’ experience in .NET backend development with Azure
• Strong knowledge of SOAP/REST, XML/XSD/WSDL, JSON, and OAuth
• Familiar with Azure DevOps for task and source management
• Assertive, analytical, and solution-oriented with a hands-on mentality
• Communicative team player with customer focus
• Fluent in English and Dutch

✅ Nice to Have:

• Azure Certification (e.g., AZ-204)
• Insurance sector knowledge is a plus, but not mandatory
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform)
