PROJECT MANAGER - ANTWERP (BELGIUM) - PERMANENT POSITION

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing mechanical engineering and installation projects from start to finish.

You will work closely with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure successful project execution. Your role will involve coordinating technical teams, planning resources, tracking budgets, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

You will be involved in various types of mechanical installations, such as industrial machinery, production lines, HVAC systems, piping, and automation systems. You will also oversee site activities, manage risks, and solve technical or logistical challenges that arise during execution.

This is an ideal opportunity for an engineer with a background in mechanical, electromechanical, or automation engineering who is looking to transition into project management. You will receive training and guidance to develop your skills in planning, budgeting, stakeholder management, and leadership. Over time, you will take on more complex projects and responsibilities, with a clear growth path toward a senior project management role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of engineering projects, from planning to execution.
• Oversee mechanical installations, ensuring compliance with technical and safety standards.
• Coordinate between engineering teams, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource plans.
• Monitor project progress and troubleshoot technical or logistical issues.
• Ensure all documentation, reports, and compliance requirements are met.
• Support process improvement and contribute to best practices in project management.

Requirements:

• Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electromechanical, Automation, or related field).
• 1-3 years of experience in engineering, technical coordination, or project support.
• Strong organizational and communication skills in Dutch (English is a plus).
• Basic knowledge of project management principles (experience with methodologies like PMI, PRINCE2, or Agile is a plus).
• Understanding of mechanical systems, installations, or industrial automation.
• Proactive, problem-solving mindset with a keen eye for detail.
