Experience in PEMFC, hydrogen, or electrolyser is beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, calculation & development of complete fuel cell systems or electrolysers (integrating fluid components, power electronics, thermal management subsystems, etc)
  • Develop fuel cell systems models for various projects using Matlab/Simulink/Labview, etc, to analyse system performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize efficiency.
  • Evaluate and select components (fuel cell stacks or electrolyser, balance of plant (BOP) items) from suppliers and be able to design the architecture of complete systems.
  • Design and execute comprehensive test plans to validate system performance, durability and safety under various operating conditions.
  • Analyse test data to identify areas for improvement and implement design modifications to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system-level issues that arise during testing or operation.
  • Utilise existing experience and knowledge to contribute specialised insights and solutions to relevant projects.
  • Experience in fuel cell testing and electrolyser

Essential Skills/Experience

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of fuel cells, electrolysers, batteries or other electrochemical systems
  • Experience in flowchart system design and flow/thermal calculations
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, Labview or Simulink software
  • Strong understanding of control system engineering principles and design fundamentals
  • Skilled at collating data & presenting clear results, both verbally and in report form (citing explanations & justification of findings)

Advantageous Skills/Experience

  • Familiarity with fuel cell system controls & algorithms
  • Experience working on fuel cell (PEMFC, SOFC, Alkaline, etc.) systems, including component integration, layouts, packaging, and electrolysers

Personal Profile

  • Creative problem solver
  • Proactive and independent worker
  • You value honesty and teamwork
  • Have a keen interest in sustainable energy technologies
  • Fluent in written & spoken English
