Are you passionate about machine learning and eager to apply your skills to real-world projects? Join Rovio’s Games Technology team as a Machine Learning Engineer Intern and work on cutting-edge generative AI initiatives that power our globally loved games. You'll collaborate with teams across the company, explore innovative AI use cases, and help optimize our GenAI powered tools.

This paid, six-month internship is based in Espoo, with a preferred start in May-June 2025. Please note that relocation or visa support is not provided for internship roles.

You will have impact and fun at work by:

• Researching generative AI models and exploring their applications.
• Working with ML engineers to develop, test, and deploy models.
• Supporting teams in using the internal generative AI tool and troubleshooting issues.
• Assisting with dataset creation and model fine-tuning.
• Staying updated on AI research and sharing insights.
• Collaborating with engineers and stakeholders to integrate solutions.
• Enhancing internal tools with new features.
• Documenting best practices and progress.
  
  

Experiences and skills we are looking for:

• Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Proficient in Python and eager to apply your skills.
• Experience with ML projects and cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with generative models and diffusion architectures is a plus.
• Ability to write clean, efficient code and collaborate effectively.
• Strong communication skills for teamwork and stakeholder engagement.

We work in a hybrid setup, and after an initial onboarding period in the office to get started, we expect the person to join us at our HQ in Espoo for a minimum of two days per week. Of course you can work fully from the office and enjoy the perks!
