This role involves managing advanced process control products, including solutions for BCTMP, TMP, RCF, and OCC processes. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Manager for our Mechanical Pulping Optimizers. This role involves managing advanced process control products, including solutions for BCTMP, TMP, RCF, and OCC processes. The Product Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring continuous business growth and maintaining healthy product margins. Additionally, the role focuses on maintaining the competitiveness of our products in both the short and long term by meeting customer demands, ensuring cost-efficiency, and delivering high product performance and quality.
Who is the professional we are looking for?
- Actively support ongoing sales cases both remotely and on-site to ensure a high win/loss ratio. Provide comprehensive sales support analysis using historical data, and define performance promises and guarantees in collaboration with stakeholders. Additionally, offer continuous training for sales teams and customer interfaces, and maintain and develop sales documentation such as specifications, datasheets, delivery limits, and guarantee templates.
- Ensure the current product portfolio meets customer expectations and understand future needs within a 3-year scope. Set specifications and requirements for product development projects to ensure competitive product positioning for new products, and follow technology developments to benchmark against peer companies.
- Lead the portfolio towards "best-cost" by understanding both own and competitors' cost structures in collaboration with delivery operations and R&D. Maintain accurate cost data in pricing tools, and plan and lead productivity programs to ensure price competitiveness.
- Ensure product functionality aligns with our promises and act as the product owner in R&D projects to achieve desired outcomes from a product performance perspective. Define life-cycle upgrade paths for products and develop service product portfolios in collaboration with PPS service business managers. Respond quickly to resolve quality complaints, take ownership of continuous product quality improvement, and implement proactive quality improvement programs with R&D.
- Maintain and develop product marketing materials such as presentations and success stories. Develop new product communications with marketing, including product names, promises, key benefits, features, and visuals. Orchestrate go-to-market strategy development and drive launch activities with Marketing and Sales teams.
- Masters Degree in Engineering; Chemical, Control, or Pulp and Paper
- Extensive experience in the pulp and paper industry
- Knowledge of BCTMP, TMP, RCF, and OCC processes
- Advanced process control experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in English language
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Proven track record in sales support and customer interface
