We are looking for an experienced, resourceful, and curious Game Programmer to join our team to help shape the future of casual free-to-play mobile games.
In this role, you will collaborate with designers, artists, programmers, analysts, and other game developers to bring gameplay visions to life. Working mostly in Unity, you will be responsible for ensuring that the codebase remains scalable, maintainable, and only improves over time. Your contribution will have a lasting impact, making our games and codebases enjoyable to work on for years to come.
In our ambitious, driven, and caring team, we believe in empowering individuals to lead their own work and take ownership on projects, tech decisions, and their professional growth. You’ll get to take initiative, push the boundaries of what is possible, and grow as a developer.
If this sounds like an environment you would like to be a part of, let’s talk!
Responsibilities:
- Implementing mobile game functionality in Unity, ensuring quality and performance
- Participating in tech discussions about game architecture, to support smart reuse of code, maintainability for years to come, and server-driven LiveOps
- Participating in game design discussions from a technical point of view
We expect from you:
- At least 4 years of professional experience in game development, with a strong focus on Unity and C# (mobile games experience is a plus)
- Demonstrated ability to design and write clean and maintainable code
- Strong written and verbal communication in English, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical team members
- Ability and willingness to work autonomously as a part of a hybrid (remote/on-site), low-hierarchy team
- An open and analytical mindset towards AI and its use in game development, with hands-on experience in using AI tools such as Github Copilot in your workflow
Pluses we admire:
- Being quick to grasp existing code and jump in to fix issues
- A humble and open mind, always willing to learn
- Understanding the metrics and lifecycle of free-to-play games
- Experience in games with a strong, server-driven LiveOps
- Experience optimizing games for mobile devices
- Experience in reactive programming (UniRx)
- Experience in automated testing in Unity
- Experience in graphics programming
- Experience in other game engines and programming languages
We offer:
- True ownership and responsibility in one of the best gaming companies in Finland
- Competitive salary and benefits, flexible working hours
- Great working conditions in an exciting and agile environment
- Space to grow and learn
- A hybrid work model with a main office in Helsinki
- Remote work within the EU timezone is also possible
