Job Description

Your Role

You'll play a key role in developing and improving Feels by:

  • Building new features
  • Developing and optimising our APIs
  • Improving our recommendation algorithm
  • Strengthening our moderation system
  • Contribute to backend infrastructure evolution
  • Collaborating closely with mobile developers
  • Contributing to product strategy, feature conception, and innovation in online dating

Tech Stack

  • Backend: Node.js, TypeScript, Postgresql, Redis, socket.io
  • Frontend: React Native, TypeScript, RTK, Redux Saga
  • Infrastructure: GCP, Kubernetes (GKE), Cloud SQL, Cloudflare
  • Ops: Gitlab with self hosted runners, Docker, Fastlane

Work Environment

  • Our main office is in central Paris with a small, tight-knit team of six.
  • Remote work is totally fine - we’re open to fully remote positions.
  • We regularly meet up to connect and have fun together.
  • English is mandatory and is our main communication language

Preferred Experience

Who We’re Looking For

  • Excellent back-end programming skills (5+ years experience)
  • Experience building APIs
  • Familiarity with services & technologies used in our Stack
  • Experience working on projects with heavy load (thousands of daily users)
  • Experience in system performance and scalability

Nice to have

  • Infrastructure and DevOps skills (K8s, GCP, Docker…) are a big plus
  • Ability to write tests and improve coverage
  • Interest in frontend development, attention to detail, and mobile best practices

  • Tech Interview with our CTO and Lead Backend Developer – Deep dive into backend development with a technical test and questions
