Primary function:
The role of a Program Manager is multifaceted and involves overseeing and coordinating multiple related projects to achieve a common organizational objective. The program manager will be the referent for new engine developments PG/IPU/Sprinkler application.
In particular for this role the PM will be responsible for:
- Manage PG program execution achieving performance targets (cost, time, quality, margin) and fulfilling market needs and requirements for EMEA dealer and APAC market on whole PG line up.
- Evaluate different solution to improve marginality and quality (Business Model, footprint) working with Value Manager
- Contribute to all platforms activities (e.g. CAR preparation, platform profitability management, Product development)
Essential responsabilities:
- Is in charge of developing the New Programs, (achieving time, cost and quality targets)
- Is responsible for applying and driving the application of the company official development process (FDP)
- Is also in charge to manage the Current Production products, leading the continuous improvement with the goal of achieving gross margin increase, cost reduction and quality improvement targets
- Has the responsibility to evaluate technical feasibility, cost and timing of potential new programs; namely but not only, in case of Customer Product Requests
- Reports of Work in Progress and Risk Management issues to different level of management reviews
- Prepare the Capital Appropriation Requests for spending approval of the Projects
- Lead/Coordinate the cross-functional product team (including Marketing, Market segment, Customer Management) ensuring the achievement of program targets (revenues, cost, time quality, margin, …)
- Contribute to the new business introduction process through the MR0 assessment supporting platform managers in the development of CARs
- Support platform profitability management, both during development programs and after SOP, ensuring that targets are achieved and taking corrective actions through the Platform cross-functional team
- Manage Product modifications timely vs Customer Expectations
Requirements:
Technical background – mechanical or management engineering preferred
At least 1year of experience in project management execution
Engine and production processes basic know-how - APQP know how
Negotiation and team management;
Very good communication skills, written and spoken.
