Company Background

Our client is an Australian-based Forex broker offering trading solutions built on top of the MetaTrader platform. The company serves a global clientele and is dedicated to delivering a seamless trading experience. The team, consisting of 6 engineers, is responsible for product development and production support, with full ownership over technology, development processes, and toolset decisions.

Project Description

This is a hands-on opportunity to work on a live trading platform, contributing to both new feature development and production stability. Engineers gain real-world experience seeing how their work is used in production, with direct customer interaction and feedback loops. The team meets with the customer twice a week, with ongoing communication via email, Slack, and Jira.

What You'll Do

• Analyze feature requirements and clarify open questions;
• Design and propose technical solutions;
• Collaborate with the customer and team to implement user stories;
• Implement unit tests to ensure code quality and prevent regressions;
• Perform code reviews and peer feedback;
• Conduct developer-level testing before handoff to QA or production;
• Roll out features to production and handle customer feedback;
• Actively participate in improving the tech stack, infrastructure, and dev processes;
• Assist with onboarding and mentoring new team members;

Job Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software development;
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, ReactJS, Redux, Node.js, HTML5, CSS3;
• Experience working with MongoDB and MySQL;
• Knowledge of engineering best practices and the motivation to implement them;
• Detail-oriented with a focus on code quality and scalability;
• Proactive and curious mindset, eager to understand how systems work;
• Willingness to take ownership of tasks and see them through to production;
• English proficiency at B1+ or higher for speaking and written communication;
