Strategy Software Engineer

Hiring on behalf of an Amsterdam based HFT looking to add a Strategy Software Engineer to one of their top performing teams. This group aims to deliver a wide variety of applications, systems and tools, including trading algorithm implementations, options pricing, volatility calculations, simulation frameworks, and data analysis & visualization tools for traders.

Responsibilities -

• You will deliver high-impact projects in close collaboration with traders, researchers, quants, and fellow engineers. You’ll take ownership of the end-to-end product development process—from requirements gathering to production deployment. You will deliver high-performance, reliable software using frequent iterations to get quick feedback and shorten time-to-market.
• Collaborate closely with traders to gain a deep understanding of Trading strategies and implement them optimally.
• Drive delivery of solutions by developing, testing, deploying, tuning, and maintaining a variety of applications, algorithms, new research infrastructures, and automation for Trading Teams.
• Continuously improve functional and operational sides of Strategy systems to enhance user experience and overall system performance.

Your Skills and Experience:

• At least 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer with excellent programming abilities.
• Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, complexity analysis, data structures, memory models, and concurrency models.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills and a keen interest in applying them to the Trading field.
• Master’s or PhD degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science or a related field.
• Advanced math and quantitative skills are a plus.
• Strong proficiency in Java or Python ideal (3+ years)

This is a hybrid role based in the firms Amsterdam office. Compensation is highly competitive with lucrative yearly bonuses on top. The firm can help relocate people to Amsterdam for this role.
