Interaction Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Senior UX Designer (L5) to redefine what Creator Success looks like for YouTube Channel Memberships. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of YouTube Studio, enhance core user journeys, and create impactful design solutions for millions of content creators worldwide.

You will play a pivotal role in developing new features, improving critical user experiences, and ensuring that YouTube Studio continues to be an essential platform for creators. As part of a cross-functional team, you will work closely with Product Managers (PMs), Engineers (Eng), and User Experience Researchers (UXR) to conceptualize and execute innovative designs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and Drive Design Excellence: Define and execute the UX vision for Channel Memberships within YouTube Studio.

• Enhance User Journeys: Improve established critical user flows, ensuring seamless interactions and optimal engagement for creators.

• Cross-functional Collaboration: Build and foster strong relationships with PM, Eng, UXR, and other key stakeholders to align on user needs and business objectives.

• Feature Development: Conceptualize, prototype, and evaluate new Channel Membership features to enhance creator experience.

• Mobile Expansion: Contribute to strengthening YouTube Studio’s presence on mobile platforms.

• User-Centered Approach: Deeply understand and address user pain points to improve usability and accessibility for creators globally.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Design or equivalent practical experience.

• 6+ years of UX design experience in either an agency or in-house environment.

• Strong portfolio showcasing designs for technical use cases or user-focused platforms.

• Experience designing across multiple platforms (web, mobile, and responsive design).

• Expertise in UX/UI principles, wireframing, prototyping, and user testing methodologies.
