Data Scientist

A leading financial services company in Zurich is looking for a Data Scientist to join their Risk Analytics team. The role involves developing and implementing ML models for credit risk and fraud prevention, working closely with specialists to deliver impactful insights, and contributing to the expansion of in-house analytics tools.

Requirements:

• Completed university degree with a quantitative focus
• Very good analytical and conceptual skills
• Very good knowledge of Python and experience with Python frameworks such as Numpy, Pandas and ML frameworks such as Scikit-learn, PyTorch
• Very good knowledge of database systems and SQL
• Very good knowledge of German and English
• Practical experience in payment systems, credit risk and fraud prevention is an advantage
• Practical experience in software development as well as with Git and CI/CD processes is an advantage
• Strong Python skills (Numpy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, PyTorch)
• Experience with SQL & database systems
• Fluent in German & English
• At least 1 year of professional experience (credit risk/fraud prevention is a plus)
