As Lead Site Reliability Engineer you ensure the delivery of IT production services in line with the bank wide ITIL standards to the RFT & EDS stakeholders. The production teams operate in a hybrid model, cloud / on-prem based products and application. You will support the production integrity team’s vision and strategy to increase stability and reliability of the production processes and systems, respectively but also improve efficiency of the production operating model as well as support the bank’s and the production team’s risk and control agenda.

Responsibilities

• Ensure production stability across the RFT & EDS estate during the EMEA time zone as part of the global production operating model & improvement of stability related KPIs for the global team
• Design and implement technical improvements with a focus on automation, AI / ML, monitoring and dashboarding
• Supports the production transformation by establishing a technically sound global production engineering and SRE team and culture in the Bucharest team
• Support the GCP / ExaCC migrations of the CIO RFT & EDS teams and deliver best in-class production management practices in a hybrid model (cloud / on-prem) from day one
• Establish and maintain strong (senior) stakeholder management (business, CIOs, GSA, infrastructure, service partner, etc.) in Bucharest &/ EMEA region and beyond
• Lead and develop a technically sound, diverse production team across all domains in Bucharest
• Pro-actively ensure full compliance with the risk & control agenda (including best practice audit management) of the bank and the overall RFT & EDS production team
• Engage with the key stakeholders in Risk, Treasury and Finance (business, CIOs / GSA) and EDS across all layers and all geographies as required
• Take end to end accountability and connect people to drive a positive business outcome

Skills

• Proven experience in a senior IT production management / product or engineering lead role with a focus on production stability, reliability and control as well as transformation of organizations, processes and technologies (‘change agent’)
• Experience in leading and developing (virtual) global and diverse teams
• Sound technical engineering background (e.g. Oracle, UNIX, Cloud Technologies, Python, JAVA, SAP, etc.)
• Experience / knowledge of ITIL standards, production engineering / SRE, agile and DevOps concepts
• Proven track record of strong, stakeholder management (internal / external) across all seniority levels
• Strong IT risk & control background to establish / strengthen a pro-active risk & control culture
