Project Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage Avaloq Release and Upgrade projects for multiple banking clients. The role focuses on overseeing annual software updates, ensuring timely, budget-conscious, and high-quality execution. You will collaborate with other Project Managers handling related initiatives, ensuring seamless coordination across projects.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in banking IT projects, excellent stakeholder management skills, and experience coordinating multi-functional, geographically distributed teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Release Upgrade Projects:
• Oversee annual release and upgrade projects for SB1, GPB, IHAG ASM Releases, FAB UAE, Cloud, and third-party integrations.
• Ensure successful delivery of upgrades across multiple clients while adhering to timelines and quality standards.
• Cross-Functional Team Coordination:
• Lead technical teams, developers, and functional departments to align goals and resolve technical challenges.
• Work closely with other Project Managers to synchronize efforts between multiple concurrent projects.
• Project Execution & Delivery:
• Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle from initiation to completion.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality benchmarks.
• Risk Management:
• Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions.
• Project Planning & Reporting:
• Develop detailed project plans, set milestones, and track progress.
• Provide regular status updates to client project managers and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 5+ years of Project Management experience, leading medium to large-scale projects (preferably in banking or financial services).
• Strong experience in software upgrades, IT transformations, or similar technical initiatives.
• Expertise in managing cross-functional, multi-geography teams in parallel project environments.
• Persistent, assertive, and resilient – capable of overcoming challenges and driving projects to success.
• Experience in executing Release Upgrades, Cloud, and 3rd-party integrations.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Avaloq Certification or hands-on Avaloq experience (highly beneficial).
• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent Project Management certification.
• Strong understanding of banking processes and financial software solutions.
