As an Automation Engineer, you will work on exciting projects, translating strategic goals into tangible, automated solutions. Your expertise in automation will help shape the configuration and implementation processes, ensuring the highest standards of performance, security, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Automate manual tasks and processes, improving efficiency and consistency.
- Design, implement, and manage cloud environments (IaaS, PaaS).
- Perform upgrades, updates, and maintenance to ensure systems run smoothly.
- Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines, enhancing automation across the development lifecycle.
- Monitor, log, and optimise environments for maximum performance.
- Handle capacity management and set up management processes.
- Create detailed design documents and contribute to test strategy creation.
- Serve as a knowledge resource for third-line support, providing expert solutions to complex problems.
Who You Are:
You are an experienced automation professional who thrives on solving technical challenges and working independently. You are passionate about modern technologies, cloud environments, and ensuring security at every step. Additionally, you have excellent communication skills, with the ability to document and transfer knowledge effectively to other teams.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in technical management of private cloud environments.
- Experience with Red Hat Ansible automation (certified).
- Experience with IaaS/PaaS provisioning and managing cloud environments.
- Solid understanding of security best practices and ‘Secure by Design’ principles.
- Red Hat RHCSA certification (minimum).
- Familiarity with databases, high availability, and performance optimisation.
- Proficiency in Dutch (for customer support in the Netherlands).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Linux (RHEL 8/9) experience.
- Experience with scripting (Ansible).
- Knowledge of security techniques and encryption.
- Familiarity with GitLab and version control tools.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and virtualization tools.
- Knowledge of container technologies (Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and Nutanix.
