We are looking for an F5 ASM Security Engineer to implement, maintain, and optimize F5 Application Security Manager (ASM) solutions, ensuring robust web application security and compliance with industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • F5 ASM Implementation & Configuration – Deploy and fine-tune web application security policies in line with security team requirements.
  • Security Policy Development – Design, test, and maintain WAF (Web Application Firewall) rules to mitigate security threats.
  • Threat Analysis & Mitigation – Identify and neutralize vulnerabilities, ensuring compliance with OWASP Top 10 and other security frameworks.
  • Performance & Penetration Testing – Conduct tests to validate policy effectiveness and optimize F5 ASM performance.
  • Incident Response & Troubleshooting – Diagnose and resolve application security issues efficiently.
  • Technical Documentation & Training – Create detailed implementation reports and conduct internal training on F5 ASM best practices.
  • System Monitoring & Optimization – Continuously track system performance and apply necessary enhancements.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with F5 devices, especially ASM (Application Security Manager).
  • Strong understanding of network protocols – TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, SSL/TLS.
  • Web Application Security Expertise – Proven experience in WAF technologies and security best practices.
  • Threat Mitigation Knowledge – Deep familiarity with OWASP Top 10 and secure application development principles.
  • Security Policy Design – Ability to create and tailor security policies to specific application needs.
  • Traffic Analysis Skills – Experience using network monitoring and analysis tools.
  • Bonus Skills: Experience with additional F5 modules (LTM, GTM) and F5 certifications (e.g., F5 Certified BIG-IP Administrator, F5 Certified Technology Specialist) are a plus.
  • Analytical & Communication Skills – Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and work effectively both independently and in a team.
