DevOps/Database Engineer

We’re looking for a DevOps/ Database Engineer who thrives in high-scale environments and wants to own the database layer of a globally distributed platform. We need someone who understands infrastructure, automation, and scaling databases as part of a high-traffic, mission-critical system.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Own the database infrastructure for a hybrid AWS/on-prem system handling millions of users.
• Develop automation for database deployment, scaling, and upgrades.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines for database and infrastructure management.
• Work closely with the platform & operations team to optimize performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Support collaboration between Oslo and Switzerland teams, driving efficiency and reuse.

What You Bring:

• Oversee the installation, upgrades, and maintenance of databases across AWS and on-prem environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Automate database deployments and scaling, using tools like Ansible, Bash, and Python to streamline operations.
• Work closely with developers, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to improve CI/CD pipelines, integrating database management into our delivery processes.
• Take the lead in optimizing performance and troubleshooting critical issues, ensuring our databases run smoothly even under high traffic loads.
