About the Company:

Our partner is a leading online community for FTSE 350 board members and FTSE 100 executive committee members. They provide a secure platform for members to connect, collaborate, and share knowledge. Additionally, they offer access to commercial NED vacancies and equity research, as well as opportunities to engage in private video events. The platform has moved extremely rapidly in terms of taking investment, monetising and attracting corporate partners and members. It now represents almost all of the FTSE 100 index and is scaling.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Full-Stack Developer to lead this transition and oversee the development function within a team of five, including one technical member. You will take ownership of the existing codebase and drive strategic, commercial, and technical development using a technology stack that includes Angular, Nest.js, PHP, PostgreSQL, and Laravel. The infrastructure is hosted on AWS with Docker and Kubernetes, requiring strong expertise in cloud and containerization. This is an exceptional opportunity for a self-starter who thrives on responsibility and aims to make a significant impact, with potential for growth into a management role.

Responsibilities:

• Play a central role in strategic group development from technical, commercial, and leadership perspectives.
• Lead the transition from third-party to in-house development.
• Quickly familiarize yourself with the existing codebase and Git repository.
• Take ownership of the full technology stack: Angular front-end, Nest.js (TypeScript), PHP framework, PostgreSQL database, and Laravel admin portal.
• Architect, develop, and maintain web applications across the entire stack.
• Manage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure, Docker containers, and Kubernetes deployments.
• Establish best practices, coding standards, and development workflows.
• Make key technical decisions that align with business objectives.
• Identify and resolve technical debt and performance issues.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and implement solutions.
• Plan and execute the development roadmap.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical team members.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements.

Requirements:

• 2-3+ years of experience in full-stack development
• Strong proficiency in Angular (v19) and TypeScript
• Experience with Nest.js framework and Node.js
• Solid understanding of PHP development and Laravel framework
• Experience with PostgreSQL database design, development, and optimization
• Advanced Git skills and ability to quickly understand existing repositories
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
• Experience with RESTful API design and development
• Interest and ability to become part of the team and contribute broadly across the business
• Desire to grow with the company as an integral and early member of the team

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary: £48,000 - £50,000.
