About The Role

Kariera Group recruitment services are actively seeking a Senior System Engineer (Development) for a national oil and gas operator in Doha, Qatar.

Key Responsibilities

Power BI Development and Management
Design, develop, and deploy interactive Power BI reports and dashboards.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective data visualizations.
Manage and maintain the Power BI environment, ensuring compliance with governance policies and best practices.
Data Security and Optimization
Implement and maintain security protocols for data access and report sharing.
Monitor performance metrics and optimize the Power BI ecosystem to meet business needs.
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks using advanced tuning strategies.
Data Modeling and ETL Development
Design and implement efficient data models for storage and analysis.
Develop and maintain ETL pipelines for automated data ingestion and preparation.
User Training and Support
Provide training sessions and workshops to enhance end-users' Power BI skills.
Offer ongoing troubleshooting and support for users to maximize the tools' effectiveness.
Data Source Configuration
Configure and manage data sources within the Power BI Gateway for seamless connectivity and data refresh.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data source configurations.

Qualifications And Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience (5+ years) working with Power BI, data analysis, and report development.
Strong expertise in designing complex Power BI dashboards and implementing governance best practices.
Proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and ETL processes.
Hands-on experience with database management systems like SQL Server, Azure SQL, or similar platforms.
Advanced knowledge of data modeling and performance optimization techniques in Power BI.
