Capgemini Cloud Infrastructure Services (CIS) UK has the largest Projects & Consulting (P&C) practice in CIS globally - covering all the CIS portfolio. We work on a range of exciting projects for many different clients across all sectors. The role of the Network Engineer operates within the Edge capability, focusing on building, migrating, and testing modern network services and solutions.
Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

identity, nationality (single or dual) or immigration status, employment history going back 3 continuous years, and unspent criminal record check (known as Disclosure and Barring Service)
Your role
Undertaking a range of network equipment installations and configuration activities for complex or high business impact solutions.
Your Skills And Experience
A good working knowledge of IP, Ethernet, routing and switching within LAN/WAN/Data Centre/ Public Cloud environments is essential. Practical and demonstrable experience of implementing Cisco ACI would be beneficial.
Your security clearance
To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance.
To obtain SC clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 5 years, along with other criteria and requirements.
Throughout the recruitment process, you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as, but not limited to, country of residence and nationality.
Some posts are restricted to sole UK Nationals for security reasons; therefore, you may be asked about your citizenship in the application process.

Your role
Undertaking a range of network equipment installations and configuration activities for complex or high business impact solutions.
- Performing infrastructure surveys, for both wired and wireless.
- Configuring core infrastructure components e.g. switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers etc.
- Performing impact assessments on large or complex networks.
- Performing testing to pre-determined plans and analyse results.
- Compliance with a stringent change management process, where levels of accuracy of proposed implementation activities will be subject to the fullest review and delivery must follow the agreed plan.
Your Skills And Experience
A good working knowledge of IP, Ethernet, routing and switching within LAN/WAN/Data Centre/ Public Cloud environments is essential. Practical and demonstrable experience of implementing Cisco ACI would be beneficial.
- Significant experience of configuring network systems, switching, routing, firewalling, load balancing.
- Demonstrable knowledge of networks including network security, virtual private networking (VPN) converged networks and broadband technologies.
- Will have the ability to install, configure and troubleshoot LAN/WAN/Voice network infrastructures for enterprise organisations.
- Will typically be qualified to Cisco CCNA level or vendor equivalent accreditation
- Experience of automation/Orchestration: Network stack integration, Terraform, Ansible, Python, JSON, APIs.
