Frontend Developer (Junior Position),

PeakTew is a social media app aiming to connect more people with the real world. Our team consists of passionate individuals from over a dozen different countries. This offer is aimed at those willing to take part in a startup project during their free time to learn more about the professional world and gain international work experience. This implies being ready to commit some time every week to the project. 

As a Frontend Developer, you will contribute to the app’s development. 

Your missions:

• Contribute at least to one of these 2 components: Front-end, and Software architecture.
• Write efficient code for creating UI and frontend-backend integration, collaborate on Github, proficient with Flutter,  and communicate with the team.
• You will have to attend the weekly team meetings to debrief your work.
• Collaborating with multiple teams to ensure system stability, scalability, security, and performance optimization. 

This is an online job, meaning that you would be working remotely. You will be required to meet deadlines and produce qualitative work (reflecting the best you can deliver). Yet, we remain available to advise and help you anytime you need. This job will also be unpaid as PeakTew is a student-led project that isn’t (yet) generating revenue.

Competencies required:

• Have a convenient English level (PeakTew operates in English).
• Be a Computer Science Student or follow a similar academic path with the demanded skills.
• Required to have a decent device for working with a decent network connection.
• Front-end needs the ability to use Flutter programming language.
• Ability to create a visually appealing UI.
• Proficient in frontend-backend integration using APIs, and frameworks.
• Familiarity with web sockets is a plus.
• An autonomous mindset (ability to have excellent communication and teamwork)
