Senior Data Scientist (NLP & ML)

At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a Senior Data Scientist (NLP & ML) to join our UniQue team.

What will you be doing in this role?

Collect business requirement and develop advanced data mining solutions or identify, assess and deploy relevant existing data mining, machine learning and business intelligence solutions
Specification and design of presentation interfaces with optimal usability/user experience
Development and maintenance of software applications in the field of Natural Language Processing (NLP), Machine Learning (ML) and/or Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Identify, collect, convert and update different data types/sets in several locations (e.g. ETL)
Produce data models according to specific problems statements
Scripting and programming
Contribute to the design and implementation of the analytics architecture and its solution stack (including performance aspects, physical design, capacity dimensions)
Write the different documentation associated with the tasks and liaise with other project teams as necessary to address cross-project interdependencies

Requirements

What do you need to succeed in this position?

Master's degree in IT field with minimum 13 years of relevant experience (or Bachelor's degree with minimum 17 years of relevant experience
At least 5 years of experience with machine learning and Natural Language Processing techniques and algorithms, such as k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, Neural Network, and/or artificial intelligence frameworks
At least 5 years experience with Python, Perl, Matlab, R and its NLP/ML libraries (SpaCy, NLTK, scikit-learn, pandas)
Minimum 2 years of Data Management and ETL processes and tools (i.e. Talend Open Studio)
At least 2 years with business intelligence tools (Tableau, SAS, SAP, GoodData)
Minimum 2 years of experience with SQL tooling (NoSQL DB, MongoDB, Hadoop, SQL) and Cloud (AWS, Azure)
At least 2 years experience with Linux, Unix and Bash
Proficient in continuous code delivery and unit testing
At least 2 years experience of natural language processing systems lifecycle and agile software development methodologies
Good knowledge of quality assurance and quality control for machine translation (MT) and experience with MT quality procedures, testing methodologies and tools, such as automatic quality metrics (BLEU scores and similar) and human evaluation of MT quality
Knowledge of data visualisation tools, such as D3.js, GGplot
Knowledge in Database Mining systems and in Big Data technologies
Knowledge in one of the following areas{{:}} predictive (forecasting, recommendation), prescriptive (simulation), sentiment analysis, topic detection, plagiarism detection, trends/anomalies detection in datasets, recommendation system
