Software Engineer - Apple Silicon as a Service

At Scaleway, you can create the products your colleagues will use. We are creating services for engineering teams all over the world to focus on the product they build.

In February 2021, Scaleway was the first cloud provider to launch Apple Silicon-as-a-service product. Our customers were able to rent brand new mac mini m1 with per-hour billing and no commitment. Since, this product has been a huge success!

The team is scaling up, we are looking for new talents to join us to build great new features.

You will report to the product Engineering Manager and collaborate with smart people to deliver value to our customers.

This is not a typical backend DevOps position at Scaleway, you will deal with both software and hardware challenges and will grow multiple expertise areas at once in a small team.

Your first 30 days

• Discover how the Apple Silicon-as-a-Service product works and its roadmap
• Learn the Scaleway ecosystem, understand how our tools works and how engineering is structured
• Ingest & contribute to our product vision with our Apple Silicon Product Manager
• Start contributing to the product backlog
• Work with our support to understand problems customers might have
  
  
  
  

Your first 60 days

• Be able to resolve some common issues on the product
• Develop simple to complex features and make them available for customers
• Qualify new Apple Silicon hardware
• Deploy new hardware to production
  
  
  
  

Technical Skills

• At least 5 years of experience
• Databases : PostgreSQL, MySQL
• Cloud environment
• Python / GoLang
• Container Technologies
• Linux System & Network knowledge
• Gitlab, CI-CD, Ansible
• Microservices architectures
• Bonus: you already use IoT hardware like Raspberry Pi and you are fan of electronic engineering
• Bonus: C and/or Rust programming

Location
