Senior Product Security Engineer

A Senior Product Security Engineer is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our Galway based client. The Senior Product Security Engineer will lead product security initiatives for our Controls, Software applications, and Devices. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Software, Hardware, and Systems Engineers across the organisation to ensure the integration of best practices and robust technologies into our products. This is a REMOTE opportunity WHEN based in Ireland ONLY.

Role of this position

• Ensure secure product development practices are consistently implemented throughout the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate in defining system and product requirements to mitigate potential security risks.
• Lead threat intelligence initiatives and vulnerability management process.
• Lead the implementation of security tools across the organisation.
• Establish and test key plans, such as Disaster Recovery (DR) and Incident Response.
• Provide technical inputs to ensure compliance with appropriate regulations.
• Stay informed about emerging security threats and trends and provide actionable recommendations to enhance product security.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer Science, Software, Computer or Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Microprocessor-based Software Design for Embedded Systems with Cloud Connectivity.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a Product Security Capacity.
• Strong understanding of Secure Software Development practices and methodologies.
• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams,
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
