Senior Data Scientist

We are now looking for Senior Data Scientists to join our Data & AI Engineering unit in Gothenburg or Stockholm. You will be part of a diverse and inclusive team of Data Scientists and Engineers working on solving interesting, real-world problems that truly make a difference. Your main responsibilities will be to deliver value for our clients in the Nordics. Supported by our global knowledge base and network of skilled colleagues, you will be part of strategic discussions, contribute to solutioning and be a driving force for the competence development of your junior colleagues. Main industries for assignments will be Automotive, Manufacturing, Life Science, Retail, and Defence.

Requirements For The Role

• PhD in a scientific field (primarily computer science, physics, mathematics, biology, engineering)
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant academic and/or professional experience within data science, data engineering, or software engineering
• Experience in one or several languages for statistical data analysis: Python, R , C++, etc
• Experience in one or several ML libraries: PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, etc
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, tools and services provided by AWS, Azure or Google Cloud especially AI-related services
• Understanding how to implement effective ETL steps on said platforms
• Proactive Personality with ability to self-drive tasks and collaborations
• An analytical mindset, a willingness to roll up your sleeves and solve hands-on technical challenges
• Excellent communication and presentation skills and an ability to explain complex concepts to varied audiences
• Ability to interact with external stakeholders such as our Technology providers and Hyperscaler representatives for collaboration
• Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written
• Be an EU citizen or hold a Swedish work permit
  
  

Meritorious Skills

• 10+ years of professional experience in Automotive, Manufacturing, Energy, Lifescience or Telecom domains
• Business analysis and technical project management skills are an advantage
• Interest to be a technical architect for Capgemini offers in data science and AI
• Working knowledge of databases, SQL and/or Elasticsearch, and experience with data management tools such as Databricks.
• Experience implementing data pipelines using tools such as Spark SQL, PySpark, Kafka and Hadoop.
• Interest to carry people management tasks within the consultancy
