The Role

As the AI developer on our growing team, you’ll play a crucial role in optimizing our chatbots in terms of accuracy, latency and overall response quality. What You Will Be Doing

You’ll play a key role in improving our chatbot products by:

  • Data Preparation: Collaborate with software engineers to ensure data is prepared and curated for use in retrieval augmented generation (RAG) or model training, including data cleaning and feature engineering.
  • Testing & Evaluation: Conduct rigorous testing and evaluation of models to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and scalability, and refine models based on performance metrics.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimizing the accuracy and latency of our RAG chatbots, working with product managers to ensure it meets stakeholder expectations.
  • Deployment: Deploy AI models into production environments, monitor their performance, and iterate based on user feedback and business needs.
  • Documentation: Document model designs, development processes, and integration workflows for future reference.
  • Research: Staying up to date with the latest advancements in AI technologies and methodologies and applying them where applicable.

What You’ll Need To Succeed In The Role

  • Degree in a related field (Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Physics, etc.)
  • 2 or more years in a related role. (Data Scientist, AI Developer, Machine Learning Engineer).
  • Strong skills in Python and SQL server.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and writing maintainable, high-quality code.
  • Excellent communication skills—you’ll be explaining complex data concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.
  • Solid foundational knowledge of NLP.
  • Experience with at least one cloud provider. (Azure, AWS, GCP etc.)
  • Experience working on traditional data science problems i.e., regression, classification on tabular datasets.

Nice-To-Have Skills

  • Understanding/Experience of creating RAG chatbots.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure
  • Experience improving the performance of REST APIs.
  • Master’s degree in data science/computer science.
