Android Engineer

Join a team of high-performing engineers in our Digital mBanking team, where we are building award-winning mobile banking and authenticator apps for our banking clients. Our fully native mobile apps for both iOS and Android encompass every feature you need for a seamless banking experience. We manage the full life cycle of the mBanking application, from development and deployment to support and CI/CD pipelines, using the latest technologies to ensure a shiny UI that wows our users with its digital features.

What role will you play?

We are challenging the entire financial services industry by putting our customers first and changing how they interact with banks. We have no branches, and we live and die by delivering the best digital experiences supported by the latest technology.

You'll be a part of a team that has developed award winning platform and app. In this role, 90% will be focused on hands on development, and 10% on solutions design and architecting. We work in a Scaled Agile environment, and work in tandem with a wide array of cross functional teams and tribes. You will be involved in the end-to-end development with a focus on holistic application design and development.

What You Offer

• Experience working in teams delivering native Android applications using Kotlin
• Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
• Understanding of software development patterns such as MVP, MVVM, Dependency
• Injection and common data structures
• Consuming REST services over JSON
• An eye for detail in UI and interaction
• Comfortable with GIT for version control
• Passionate about delivering loveable apps
• Experience in using a reactive framework such as RxJava and using Bamboo for continuous integration will be highly regarded
• Experience working across enterprise applications and working in eliciting requirements, working with design teams will be highly regarded.
