Up to £130k + Equity

London (Hybrid - In office 2 days a week)

Our client is a pioneering start-up in the financial services industry, offering an intelligent IDE for financial modelling. With a mission to modernize and streamline the analysis process, their platform enables users to conduct complex analysis, enhance efficiency, and ensure accurate forecasts.

We've helped build the team over the last 2 years with some of the strongest engineers from Thought Machine, Curve, Duffel, Tray.io... They are a passionate group of Engineers who truly care about what they are building and how they do it.

Responsibilities For The Lead Golang Engineer

• Develop and maintain the modelling service, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with the CTO to shape technical strategies and make architectural decisions.
• Lead and mentor a team of Golang engineers, fostering a culture of quality and best practices.
• Apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) principles to ensure reliable software solutions.
• Work in an agile environment, deploying frequently through BitBucket pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data pipelines, web application, and AWS infrastructure.
  
  

To be the ideal candidate, you should have experience in Golang development along with the following:

• Strong understanding of TDD, clean code, and SOLID principles.
• Proficiency in Postgres, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes, and event-driven architecture.
• Familiarity with CQRS, profiling, interpreters, parsing expression grammars (PEG), and WebSockets.
• AWS experience and knowledge of monitoring tools like Grafana, Jaeger, and Prometheus.
• Previous experience in hiring and managing technical teams.
