As part of the Engineering department, the Platform team’s mission is: “Providing business value should be as easy as wanting to.” Our goal is to empower ManoMano to sustain and accelerate its business by creating the best digital platform: resilient, safe, scalable, sustainable, and product-oriented. We leverage our expertise to address daily challenges and inspire innovation.

Your Role

Responsibilities

As a Software Platform Engineer, you will contribute significantly to enhancing user experience for both internal and external stakeholders by developing essential platform components. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Writing high-quality code while adhering to best practices in programming languages such as TypeScript, Go, Python, or ideally Java.
• Collaborating with teams to create and maintain tools that streamline both development and production processes, ensuring a user-centric approach.
• Implementing deployment strategies and processes to ensure the smooth operation of web applications and monitoring their performance over time.
• Upholding our product philosophy by developing user-friendly interfaces, incorporating client feedback, and leveraging data-driven insights.
  
  

Skills We Seek

Soft Skills:

• Experience in project management and mentoring within a collaborative environment.
• Ability to promote platform-as-a-product and analyze problematic areas within the tech department.
  
  

Hard Skills

• 5+ years of experience in backend development.
• Expertise in DevOps infrastructure automation tools and methodologies.
• Strong awareness of security and compliance considerations.
• Proficient in AWS public cloud solutions.
• Knowledge of API and Microservices architecture.
  
  

Technical Requirements

• Proficient in programming languages: TypeScript, Go, Python, or ideally Java/Kotlin.
• Experience with Kubernetes, GitLab, and observability tools (e.g., DataDog).
• Familiarity with automation tools like Terraform and CI processes.
• Understanding of quality and testing best practices.
  
  

Others

• Degree from an engineering school or equivalent.
• Fluent in English (verbal and written); French and Spanish are a plus.
• Solid understanding of operational technologies.
