Our mission is to transform one of the most unsexy and overlooked job sectors in the world: janitorial services. This is the 5th largest job sector and until now, janitorial services has not had a high quality software solution to help manage its most important challenges. BrightGo has raised $3M from Costanoa and Index Ventures to build a vertical SaaS platform for these businesses to improve their profitability and ability to make their customers happy.

In a short period of time, BrightGo has brought on a number of customers across the US and Canada and has been used in over 150,000 janitorial shifts. We onboarded our first paying customer 30 days after we were founded, and we’ve grown rapidly since! Role Description

BrightGo offers a comprehensive web and mobile experience for its clients, and you’ll have the opportunity to have a huge impact in a fast-growing startup.

We’re looking for a collaborative, product-focused, driven full stack engineer to join our team. You have experience working across the web and backend technologies, and you will be joining a team with a proven track record and a product with paying customers that is positioned to have a big impact on janitorial services.

You are someone who can wear many hats, have a product-driven mindset, embrace ambiguity, show strong user empathy, and can move quickly to solve complex product problems. You are a self-starter, organized, driven, passionate, and comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment.

Must Haves

• 3+ years of experience working in a full stack product development cycle
• BS in Computer Science or related field, with a strong technical background in software development
• Experience with Javascript and dynamic scripting languages like Ruby or Python
• Proven ability to build high-quality products
• Proven experience with good software development patterns, including CI/CD
• Independent, highly motivated, comfortable with taking initiative, handling ambiguity, and working at a fast pace
• Lives in the Bay Area and okay with a hybrid working environment (2 days in-person)
  
  

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Ruby on Rails, React, React Native, Typescript, and PostgreSQL
• Experience with cloud hosting providers, ideally AWS
• Experience working on SaaS B2B products for non-technical customers
  
  

Roles And Responsibilities

• Ship well-tested and well-architected code across our frontend and backend, building key features in our web and mobile applications
• Ensure our applications have high performance, scalability, and responsiveness
• Be responsible for business impact and the delivery of high quality modules
• Work effectively with customers, sales, and product leaders to deliver business outcomes for large scale projects
• Make contributions to better our engineering processes, including improving the codebase, managing technical debt, supporting production systems, etc.
