JOB TITLE: Cyber Security Analyst

LOCATION: Remote (in the United Kingdom)

SALARY: £40,000 - £45,000

SETTING: Home based with occasional travel to Nottingham, Livingston and/ or St Albans office

We have an exciting opportunity for a Cyber Security Analyst. In this role you will be involved in the development of internal processes and procedures in relation to security related matters to further secure XMA’s business systems and data using a suite of Microsoft and other leading vendor tools and capabilities to detect and prevent unauthorised access attempts.

JOB SPECIFICATION: Cyber Security Analyst

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Providing support in response to security incidents, working in conjunction with the broader Security team to provide security incident and event monitoring
• Responsibility for the collation of security events gathered across various systems and threat intelligence sources
• Triage and managing security events as required to help ensure they are responded to in a timely and effective manner
• Supporting the creation of required management information such as dashboards for leadership and application owners to help ensure that risk events and changes in trends are detected and reported proactively
• Developing your collaboration skills by working alongside colleagues within your team and across the wider organisation to perform SLAM access management processes to help ensure user access is appropriate
• Providing support in conducting regular recertification reviews to ensure physical and electronic access requirements are up to date for all users

REQUIREMENTS: Cyber Security Analyst

We are looking for someone with proven Cyber Security experience in cyber governance and security operations, knowledge of ISO 27001 / Cyber Essentials with hands-on technical experience with SOC tools (SIEM, Tenable, Entra ID, Azure, Defender etc).

Experience with security frameworks and best practice guidelines and experience of common infrastructure such as Microsoft (Azure, Active Directory), Virtual environments, backups and recovery solutions is a necessity.
