I have partnered with a leading entertainment/gambling company who are on the lookout for a Games Producer to join their team on a maternity cover.
Salary is up to 55k
Role Purpose:
- Manage the production and delivery of internally developed Instant Win Games (IWGs).
- Plan, schedule, and track the entire game production pipeline.
- Oversee the delivery of externally developed IWGs.
- Contribute to ideation and product development, from creative concepts to game mechanics.
- Support the Game Studio’s growth and enhance game production through 2025 and beyond.
Team Overview:
The Games Studio is part of the broader Digital Factory team. You'll collaborate regularly with product management, business analysts, developers, and delivery managers.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of internally developed IWGs, from brief to launch.
- Maintain the internal production schedule and manage project tasks, milestones, and deadlines.
- Run project meetings, including weekly updates, planning sessions, stand-ups, and post-mortems.
- Manage the studio’s roadmap, allocate team resources, and align with the Product Team’s goals.
- Create and maintain game scope documents and project trackers.
- Manage the delivery of external assets (e.g., audio, music).
- Track production schedules for both internal and external game development, ensuring timely delivery.
- Plan and communicate test schedules, working with the QA team on priorities.
- Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure games meet specifications and drive success.
- Oversee the code review process, ensuring all games follow established protocols before launch.
- Coordinate the resolution of bugs raised by the QA team.
- Maintain weekly metrics and data for KPI reporting.
- Schedule software and game framework updates.
- Escalate issues related to schedule, budget, or processes to the Studio Manager and stakeholders.
- Administer internal systems such as the Games Test Harness application.
- Update team process documentation and share best practices with external agencies, as needed.
Key Skills and Experience:
Essential:
- 3+ years in a game production or software project management role.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of game/software development, with experience working with developers, artists, designers, QA, and product owners.
- Proficient with project tracking tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA).
- Strong knowledge of Google Suite and MS Office (Excel/Sheets for reports and schedules).
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing stakeholders.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to drive meetings and collaboration.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Detail-oriented, methodical, and a natural problem solver.
- Passion for running successful projects and driving results.
- Ability to foresee challenges and address them proactively to meet deadlines.
Desirable:
- Formal qualification in Project Management (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile/SCRUM).
- Knowledge of gaming trends.
- Experience in HTML5 game development.
- Familiarity with game engines like Unity.
- Understanding of web browsers and debugging tools.
- Experience in online gaming, instant win games, or the online gambling industry.
- Creative or game design experience.
