Solution Architect - Golang

Talent International, a leading Australian recruitment firm, have been engaged by a global technology company in their search for a Solution Architect/Principal Engineer with Golang experience.

As the Senior Golang Architect, you will be responsible for architecting and developing scalable, high-performance applications will have a strong breadth of experience across multiple applications at scale, API design/development, and cloud-based architectures on AWS. This role requires an individual with a deep understanding of Golang, modern software design patterns, and cloud infrastructure to drive innovation and efficiency across their technology stack.

Role Title: Senior Golang Architect
Contract Length: Permanent Career Opportunity OR 12 month day rate contract initially

Location + WFH Flexibility: Sydney CBD location. On site full time for first 3 months, hybrid working thereafter

Annual Pay: $200,000 - $220,000 annually

Role Details:

• Architect and develop scalable, high-performance applications in Golang.
• Design and implement microservices and RESTful APIs for seamless system integration.
• Lead cloud-native development on AWS, optimizing for performance, scalability, and security.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Artifactory.
• Design and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
• Define and enforce software development best practices and code review standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, DevOps, UI/UX).
• Utilize monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus) for system performance tracking.
• Document architectural solutions and technical implementations.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers.

Required Skills and Experiences:

• Programming & Backend Development: Golang (8+ years), Python, JavaScript
• Cloud & Infrastructure: Strong expertise in AWS services
• Database & Storage: Proficiency in SQL databases
• Software Architecture: Microservices, RESTful API design, system architecture
• CI/CD & DevOps: GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Artifactory
• Containerization & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (EKS)
• Monitoring & Performance Tuning: Grafana, Prometheus (optional for staff engineer)
• Project Management & Collaboration: Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
