We have an expanding technology platform. For customers, our software enables them to explore the best restaurants in their city and save up to 50% off the total bill. For restaurants, it enables them to optimise spare capacity, launch real-time offers and fill tables otherwise gone empty.
We’re a rapidly growing startup here in Australia. Initially co-founded by Marco Pierre White and spearheaded by leaders of the food tech scene, we now have 40+ employees all around Australia in all types of crafts.

Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for a highly skilled and proactive Quality Assurance (QA) Automation Engineer to enhance our testing capabilities across iOS and Android native applications, and various web applications. The ideal candidate will drive product quality improvements, increase test coverage, and implement robust automation strategies to accelerate the velocity of multiple squads in our 15-person development team.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive test automation strategies for:
- iOS native applications
- Android native applications
- Web interfaces using Selenium or similar
- Develop and maintain a robust suite of automated tests covering multiple layers of our mobile and web apps
- Improve and expand unit test coverage across native mobile applications
- Establish and track key quality metrics to provide visibility into testing effectiveness
- Collaborate closely with development teams to integrate testing into the development process
- Present data and reports to senior leaders and cross-functional teams
- Identify and implement best practices for test automation and quality assurance
- Perform code reviews of test automation scripts and provide guidance to team members
- Defect analysis: analyzing and reporting software defects and ensuring timely resolution
Technical Requirements
Tertiary-level qualification in computer science or equivalent practical work experience.
Proven experience in test automation for native mobile applications (iOS and Android) and web applications.
Strong programming skills in at least two of the following:
- Swift (for iOS)
- Kotlin/Java (for Android)
- JavaScript/React
Expertise in test automation frameworks:
- Selenium WebDriver
- Appium for mobile testing
- JUnit or TestNG
- Cucumber or similar BDD framework
- TestComplete
Excellent communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills
Bonus
- Passion for food and creating quirky sprint names
- Familiar with AWS services incl. Lambda, AppSync, Amplify
