Physical Layer SW Engineer

About The Job

In this role you will specify the physical layer control software for wireless technologies. This includes the architecture and managing the development of the software, from requirement analyses to verification. You will also be tasked with the maintenance of the software asset and interfacing with other software entities. The ideal candidate have an excellent system-level knowledge on cellular technologies with experience in wireless protocols. Strong programming skills in C and Python are required, along with experience in embedded real-time systems and operating systems.

Key responsibilities

• Specifying Physical Layer software architecture and development of the software, including the chain from requirement analyses to verification of the software
• Maintenance of the software asset
• Interfacing with other software entities
• Problem investigation and bug hunting
  
  
  

Qualification And Skills

• Master’s degree in Telecommunications, ICT, or equivalent education
• Excellent system level knowledge on cellular technologies with 5+ years’ experience in wireless protocols
• Good programming skills in C and in Python
• Strong experience of embedded real time systems and operating systems
• Experience using system testers
• Flexibility to participate on test system and test case development and testing
• Knowledge of ARM microprocessor architecture is an advantage
