Our SME client is looking to welcome a Financial Controller to join their team as #1 role in the department. You will report to the MD, lead a high performance team and oversee the strategic growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with local GAAP and IFRS
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities for improvement, providing insights to support strategic decision-making and business growth
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting process
- Monitor actual performance against budgeted targets, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions as needed
- Manage the local team providing leadership, guidance, and mentoring to ensure their professional growth
- Work closely stakeholders (internal/external, local/international)
Key Skills:
- Qualified Accountant with 5 years' PQE (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with c. 3 years' experience in people management
- Strong understanding of audit, GAAP, IFRS principles
- Skilled in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- A highly organised individual with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- SAP experience is preferred
