Financial Controller

Location: North Dublin

Compensation: c. €90k basic plus bonus, pension, health, 25 days AL

Our SME client is looking to welcome a Financial Controller to join their team as #1 role in the department. You will report to the MD, lead a high performance team and oversee the strategic growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with local GAAP and IFRS
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities for improvement, providing insights to support strategic decision-making and business growth
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting process
• Monitor actual performance against budgeted targets, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions as needed
• Manage the local team providing leadership, guidance, and mentoring to ensure their professional growth
• Work closely stakeholders (internal/external, local/international)

Key Skills:

• Qualified Accountant with 5 years' PQE (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with c. 3 years' experience in people management
• Strong understanding of audit, GAAP, IFRS principles
• Skilled in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
• A highly organised individual with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
• SAP experience is preferred
