AWS Cloud Platform Engineer

GemPool Recruitment is currently hiring for an AWS Cloud Platform Engineer with strong expertise in Terraform and Kubernetes. This role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design, security, and automation of cloud infrastructure in a highly dynamic environment.

Info:

• Fully Remote within Ireland only
• Contract: 12 Months
• Daily Rate: Negotiable

Key Responsibilities:

• Cloud Security & Compliance: Secure AWS environments using best practices, including IAM, GuardDuty, WAF, and Security Hub.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design and implement automated AWS infrastructure deployments using Terraform.
• Kubernetes & Container Security: Manage and optimize EKS clusters, implement RBAC policies, and ensure compliance with security standards.
• Automation & CI/CD: Develop GitOps-based CI/CD pipelines (ArgoCD, Flux, Jenkins) and automate security scans for containerized applications.
• Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with development and security teams to integrate security best practices into cloud-native architectures.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in AWS cloud infrastructure and Linux system administration.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and Terraform.
• Strong proficiency in CI/CD automation, GitOps workflows, and scripting (Python, Bash, Go).
• Deep understanding of AWS security frameworks and container security tools (Trivy, Aqua, Prisma Cloud).
