Job Summary

The Senior Product Designer / Design Systems role is for individuals with a proven track record in managing the end-to-end lifecycle of design systems and developing ready front-end components for our clients. This role involves developing and maintaining front-end libraries and resources, ensuring consistency across all platforms, and collaborating closely with developers to implement designs accurately and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain design systems to ensure consistency across all platforms.
• Create dev-ready components and UI designs.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure accurate and effective implementation of designs.
• Migrate existing design components to unified design systems.
• Maintain and update design systems regularly.
• Leverage branding, identity, art direction, and accessibility elements into design systems and interfaces.
• Conduct end-to-end audits of UI, visuals, and design systems to identify and solve discrepancies.
• Maintain Figma libraries for desktop and mobile.
• Lead the creation and implementation of resources, tools, and documentation that support the design system.
• Work in an agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary studios and teams.
• Foster knowledge sharing, learning, and development within the creative community.
• Advocate for user-centric, accessible, and coherent design, and champion this approach internally and with clients.
  
  

Required Skills And Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Multimedia Design, or a related field.
• Professional Experience: Proven experience in the end-to-end design and maintenance of design systems in digital products and services across platforms.
• Technical Skills: Strong focus on responsive UI design and Atomic Design across platforms and devices.
• Understanding: Strong understanding of OS-related patterns and best practices.
• Collaboration: Agile collaboration native.
• Tools: Proficiency in Figma, Storybook, Patternlab, Supernova, ZeroHeight.
• Soft Skills: Ambitious, inclusive, and generous leadership qualities; effective in coaching and developing teams.

• Experience in Life Sciences.
• Experience in omnichannel communication.
• Creative and conceptual design skills.
