We’re hunting for a Product Designer Intern with flair, fire, and Figma finesse to help us build the most inclusive, vibrant, and addictive LGBTQ+ events platform the internet has ever seen.

About Us

Slay is an LGBTQ+ event ticketing marketplace committed to celebrating diversity, inclusion, and community. We empower queer communities to discover, share, and attend inclusive events, from underground dance parties to pride festivals and cultural gatherings. Our platform is more than just ticketing—it’s a space for queer joy, connection, and discovery.

We’re designing a sleek, bold, and performance-packed web platform where users can:

• Discover LGBTQ+ events, vendors, and queer talent
• Seamlessly purchase tickets & unlock exclusive perks
• Engage with the community through interactive, game-like features

After the web launch? We go mobile. We need someone who thinks in systems and designs for scale.

🌈 Your Mission

As our Product Designer Intern, you will lead the design of SLAY’s web platform—bringing our inclusive, joyful brand to life through thoughtful UX and bold, intuitive UI. You’ll blend creativity with data to create experiences that feel empowering and effortless.

• Assist in leading the end-to-end design process (from rough napkin sketches to polished prototypes)
• Design clean, logical user flows, wireframes, and page layouts for event attendees and organisers
• Craft scroll-stopping high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes
• Build and maintain a gorgeous design system that future-proofs us
• Explore gamification ideas (think points, perks, challenges) to drive user retention and loyalty
• Run lightweight usability tests and iterate like a boss
• Collaborate across teams to make sure your designs are feasible, fabulous, and on-brand

• An eye-popping portfolio that makes us go “YAAAAS”
• 1+ years of experience in UI/UX or product design (agency or in-house)
• Figma wizardry (plus bonus points for Adobe CC, Protopie, or similar tools)
• A strong sense of design systems, accessibility, and responsive design
• Passion for queer spaces, digital experiences, and designing with empathy
• 🎮 Bonus: Experience in gamification or interactive product design
• 🏳️‍🌈 Bonus: Deep love and understanding of LGBTQ+ communities & culture

• Shape a platform that empowers queer creators and communities
• Work with a bold brand in a fast-moving, high-impact environment
• Potential to expand into mobile design or a longer-term role
