What We’re Looking For

This is a hybrid position, requiring on-site work a few days per week. Therefore, the role is specifically open to Java Developers based in Buenos Aires, Capital Federal.

What You Will Be Doing

• Design and write clean, scalable code.
• Participate in the entire development process, from designing small components to independently completing user stories.
• Lead and contribute to requirement analysis, planning, design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Break down complex problems into manageable tasks and contribute to well-architected solutions.
• Collaborate with peers and seniors within your team and across the organization.
• Work with product managers using agile methodologies to deliver high-quality solutions on time.
• Partner with operations teams to ensure applications and services are highly available and reliable.
• Understand and address engineering-related concerns such as performance, network utilization, and resource impact.

You Are a Good Match If You Have:

• Over 5 years of experience in software design, development, and implementation.
• 5+ years of experience in application development, APIs, middleware, and database development.
• A strong background in Java
• Knowledge and experience with Node.js and/or Nest.js, or Node.js combined with Java expertise.
• Strong experience in microservices development, not limited to simple wrappers but incorporating advanced logic, such as:

Interacting with other microservices.

Database operations (both relational and non-relational).

Consuming queues/topics (e.g., AMQ, Artemis, Kafka).

• Proficiency in working with relational databases (e.g., Oracle) and non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB).
• Familiarity with Kubernetes platforms, such as OpenShift (or similar platforms from other providers).
• Analytical skills to propose and challenge solutions, both for new implementations and for enhancing existing ones.
• Experience in writing and executing unit tests to ensure code quality.
