Join us as a Data Scientist!


We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our e-Lab team in the Data and Innovation unit that promotes and leads digital innovation in Eesti Energia. We test different solutions in cooperation with other units and external partners in the framework of short-term prototyping projects.

Data Scientists participate in e-Lab as core team members, providing their expertise and knowledge on machine learning, algorithm, and data engineering domains.

Your main tasks are:

  • participating in e-Lab project/prototype development in data engineering and modeling, conducting data analysis, developing machine learning solutions, engineering algorithms, and mathematical models;
  • planning, testing, and implementing Data Science tooling and platforms inside e-Lab with Architects and the core team;
  • reviewing the work of your co-workers data scientists;
  • Propose and develop new solutions, new ideas to solve company’s challenges,


You are a great match for our team if you:

  • have 3+ years of experience in data analytics, data modeling, or in developing ML/AI algorithms and data-driven IT solutions;
  • master statistics, AI, machine learning, other algorithms like optimization
  • have an interest in the energy sector;
  • are a fast learner with a passion for modern cutting-edge technologies and best practices;
  • have an analytical and critical mindset as well as a practical attitude towards software development;
  • take time to ask questions and define the problem before considering a solution;
  • can share complex ideas verbally and visually in an understandable manner with non-technical stakeholders;
  • are fluent in English.


Location: The position is in Tallinn/Tartu (home office). Hybrid mode, at least once a week in the office.


Visa/Relocation: We are not offering visa or relocation support for this role.
