Security Operations Center Analyst

CBSButler are looking for a SOC Analyst to join on a 12 month rolling freelance project with a large defence organisation based in the Hesse region.

This will be a hybrid working position with occasional meetings in Hesse and we can pay up to €140 per hour for the right candidate.

Please see below for what we're looking for:

• Experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or a similar security role.
• Proven experience with SIEM tools - Ideally Splunk & IBM QRadar although we can consider others, for event aggregation, analysis, and incident response.
• Hands-on experience with Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) systems like CrowdStrike and Carbon Black.
• Experience with NGFWs (e.g., Palo Alto Networks, Check Point), IDS/IPS systems (e.g., Snort, Suricata), and firewall management.
• Applicants must hold, or be eligible to obtain Ü1 security clearance to work in this role.

Any experience in the defence sector previously would be highly desirable although not essential.
