As part of their continued growth, they are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join their team at their headquarters in Luxembourg.


In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing and maintaining the company’s IT network infrastructure, ensuring its performance, security, and availability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and troubleshoot network systems, while continuously striving to enhance system efficiency and provide reliable solutions to meet the company’s operational needs.


Key Responsibilities

Operational Responsibilities:

  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network-related issues as needed (Incident Management).
  • Perform root cause analysis for major incidents (Problem Management) and take proactive steps to resolve them.
  • Configure, manage, and ensure smooth operation of network systems to meet business objectives and processes.
  • Record, pilot, and implement network changes as required.
  • Provide 1st and 2nd level support, mentoring, and documentation for network and security infrastructure.
  • Deploy and manage network components and infrastructure.
  • Communicate with internal teams, remote support teams, and external IT service providers.
  • Test new versions and features of network hardware and software.
  • Ensure data security in line with company policies and directives from the CISO.
  • Participate in the management of network security solutions, ensuring robust protection from internal and external threats.
  • Collaborate with telecom providers for WAN setup and management.
  • Actively manage or contribute to crisis situations, providing effective resolutions.


Project Responsibilities:

  • Manage network-related projects, including planning resources, forecasting, and reporting on progress and milestones.
  • Install, configure, test, and maintain system management tools and firmware.
  • Assist third-party vendors in executing network projects and ensure alignment with internal requirements.
  • Verify that all actions conform to operational safety standards.
  • Continuously report on project progress and deliverables.


Your Profile

We are looking for a candidate with solid theoretical and practical experience in the following areas:

  • Expertise in Core Switches, Routers, and Firewalls.
  • Experience in Office and Industrial Wireless LAN configurations.
  • Familiarity with Citrix infrastructure and filtering technologies.
  • Strong background in the design and implementation of LAN, WAN, WLAN, and WWAN networks.
  • Experience in network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices.
  • Proficiency with Network Layer 3, as well as a solid understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 1 technologies (e.g., Ethernet, Fiber, VLAN, LLDP, Spanning Tree).
  • At least 5-10 years of work experience in a similar role.
  • A university degree in IT or a related field.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • A reliable, well-organized, and stress-resistant individual who works efficiently under pressure while maintaining a high level of quality.
