WAN Network Operations Engineer

Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in WAN infrastructure and/or ISP environment.

Technical Skills

  • Deep knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol required,
  • Deep knowledge of wide area network protocols, including BGP, MPLS, Segment Routing, and data center routing and switching,
  • Knowledge about tunnelling protocols (e.g. IPSEC, DMVPN),
  • Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including data center switching & routing fabric, routers, switches,
  • Proficient in vendor network operating systems (e.g. Cisco NXOS, IOS-XE, IOS-XR),
  • Demonstrate user experience with automation tools (Ansible, AWX).

Other Skills

  • Knowledge of DevOps and Agile methodology and tools (Git, GitHub, CI/CD Pipelines),
  • A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment,
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills,
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills,
  • Technical and Business English & German,
  • Dedication to the concept of Continuous improvement.
