Frontend Engineer – Geospatial Web Applications

About the Role

We’re looking for a skilled Frontend Engineer to design and develop highly scalable, efficient, and reusable frontend systems for complex geospatial web applications. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver world-class user experiences while optimizing performance, security, and scalability. This role requires a strong grasp of modern frontend technologies and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and develop robust, high-performance frontend systems for geospatial web applications.
• Optimize web applications for scalability, reliability, security, and speed.
• Work closely with product designers, product managers, and backend engineers to create intuitive and seamless user experiences.
• Implement responsive design principles to ensure web applications perform flawlessly across different devices and screen sizes.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while enforcing best practices in frontend development.
• Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and performance tuning to ensure the highest software quality.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, continuously improving development workflows and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong expertise in JavaScript (ES5/ES6+), including asynchronous programming, event handling, and core frontend principles.
• Extensive experience in TypeScript, React, Redux, and CSS.
• Hands-on experience with frontend libraries such as NX Monorepo, Redux Toolkit, React Router, React Hook Form, AgGrid, and HighCharts (highly desirable).
• Exposure to geospatial frontend libraries like Leaflet.js and Deck.gl is a plus.
• Proficiency with modern build tools and testing frameworks, including Webpack, Vite, and Vitest.
• Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a drive for building exceptional user experiences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
